Why 7Cs and what are the 7Cs?

Where did I get the name for the fellowship?

I had a dream/vision in 2020 and was told in it that when (not if!) the Salvation Army closed, to start a new fellowship and use the name 7Cs fellowship
In 2019 I visited the Creation Museum in Kentucky and saw the 7Cs of history there; maybe that was still on my mind.

1: Creation
The first “C” of our “walk through history” is the creation of all things. In the book of Genesis (which means “beginnings”), God tells us he created everything in six days.

2: Corruption
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth, and everything was very good (Genesis 1–2).
The next “C” is “Corruption,” and is found in Genesis 3.
Adam & Eve were tempted by Satan, saying “did God really say”, the same argument he uses today.

3. Catastrophe
The world had become so evil that God instructed Noah to build an Ark – a massive ship around 500 feet long!

He blotted out every living thing that was on the face of the ground, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens. They were blotted out from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those who were with him in the ark.

4: Confusion
The disobedient descendants of Noah decided to stay in one place, building a tall tower (at Babel) that they hoped would help keep them all together.

“Come, let us go down and there confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another’s speech.” So the Lord dispersed them from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city. (Genesis 11:7–8)   So everyone moved into separate groups and moved all over the world!

5: Christ
God’s perfect creation was corrupted by Adam when he disobeyed God. This disobedience brought sin and death into the world. Because of Adam’s disobedience, and because we have all sinned personally anyway, we are all deserving of the death penalty and need a Saviour.

She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”   God solved this “problem” by sending his Son Jesus Christ—completely human and completely God.

6: Cross
Adam disobeyed God’s command not to eat the forbidden fruit; Jesus fulfilled the Creator’s purpose that he dies for the sin of the world.   Jesus Christ, the Creator of all things was not defeated by death. He rose three days after he was crucified, showing that he has power over all things, including death, the “last enemy”!

This is why the Apostle Paul wrote, “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?   When we believe in Jesus Christ and understand what he has done for us, we are passed from death into life. The names of those who receive him are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life — so when they die, they will go to be with him forever!

7: Consummation
God, in his great mercy, has promised not to leave his creation in its sinful state, He has promised to remove, in the future, the curse he placed on his creation He will make a new heaven and a new earth one day—one which we can’t even begin to imagine. In this new place, there will be no death, no crying, and no pain.
Nobody will be sad!
